About Our Veterinary Staff
Dr. Amy Worell
Dr. Worell was raised in the "heart of the Bluegrass" in Kentucky. She has a long term love, devotion and interest in animals. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BS in Zoology, then received her veterinary degree from Auburn University.
In private practice since 1982, Dr. Worell opened her own clinic and was in the first group of veterinarians to become board certified as a specialist in avian medicine, in 1993. She successfully passed the two-day qualifying boards and is a current Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP).
Dr. Worell has been very involved in the veterinary medical community for many years. Her accomplishments include committee chairperson of two AAV (Association of Avian Veterinarian) committees, president of two regional veterinary chapters, and chairman of the AFA (American Federation of Aviculture) veterinary program. She currently is on the editorial board of several avian and exotic publications, edits a veterinary column in the AFA Watchbird, and has authored several major chapters in avian medical textbooks.
Dr. Worell is well known for her research with toucans and iron storage disease (hemachromatosis). Dr. Worell considers continuing education extremely important and spends considerable time continually broadening her knowledge of all types of companion animals and birds.

Fredy was born in southern California and has spent his life here. He is the oldest of three children and is currently studying pre-vet science at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA. He is a kennel assistant/technician at All Pets. He really enjoys his work and is always trying to learn new things and to help everyone. Fredy is very interested in exotic animals (those other than dogs and cats). At some point in the future he would like to work in a zoo, and possibly even own his own veterinary clinic. Fredy loves sports and plays soccer and enjoys kickboxing on weekends. He has two dogs, Scooby and Cookie, and one cat, Simba. His favorite animals are large cats with birds and reptiles, close behind. In the future, he hopes to travel the world and view animals in their natural habitats.

Sandy was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She currently is attending Pierce College studying to be an interpreter for the deaf. She is fluent in three languages, English, Spanish and sign language. She works at All Pets as a receptionist. You may see her either early in the morning or the closing shift. Sandy loves all types of animals. She has two Pomeranians as pets, Charlie and Coco. Her favorite type of animal is a liger, which is a cross between a male lion (Panthera leo) and a female tiger (Panthera tigeris)

Emily was born in Birmingham England and lived there until eight years of age. She then moved to California with her family. She has been around animals her whole life and loves working with them. She has been competitive in horse backing riding since the age of ten, was vice president of her high school equestrian team, and while in high school, she won two gold medals for her team. Her home is located at a rehabilitation/retirement center for horses. She volunteers here teaching horseback riding to kids of all ages. She shares her home with three large dogs: Monty, an American Bulldog, Elsa a South African Mastiff, and Solo, a stray. Additional pets include 4 barn cats and ten egg laying chickens. She spends her spare time at the beach, going to the gym or hiking, and riding her horse, Socks.

Sarah grew up in and has lived most her life in Orange County, California. She moved to Northridge in April 2009 and has been working at All Pets since then as a very skilled veterinary technician. Prior to coming to All Pets, Sarah was working for the previous four years as a veterinary technician. She is currently attending Pierce College and has as her immediate goal to earn her Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license. After attaining this goal, Sarah plans on transferring to a four year college to pursue classes needed for acceptance in veterinary school. She enjoys going to the beach in her free time and hanging out with friends and family. Currently the only pet Sarah has is a 13 year old cat named Snickers. Sarah has been blessed with Snickers for the last 4 years. Snickers has been Sarah's companion through several moves even though Snickers readily professes that she hates car rides!

Kelly has grown up in and lived her life in the San Fernando Valley. She has worked in the veterinary field for eight years, the last six at All Pets. Kelly is a very skilled veterinary receptionist and may be the first person you see when you enter our doors. Kelly is very meticulous with her work and does a great job with follow through and details. She is very knowledgeable about a wide number of animal species. Kelly loves all animals but her passion is horses. Her hobbies include riding horses, gardening, viewing hot rods, attending car shows, and riding Harleys. She and her husband Brian share their home with two dogs, a pit bull Chica, and Niko, a mixed breed. She acknowledges that pit bulls are her favorite dog breed.

Pablo is a native of Florida and has been in California since 2007. He has worked as a veterinary technician since 2001 and has been a technician at All Pets since 2007. He is attending graduate school in journalism. In his spare time, Pablo watches movies, reads, and plays with his pet cats.

Courtney was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She currently attends California State Northridge where she is majoring in psychology. She has grown up with a wide variety of animals including snakes, tarantulas, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, fish and bearded dragons. She currently resides in the west end of the San Fernando Valley. She shares her home with a Labrador retriever named Sierra, and three cats, George, Pig and Shadow. Courtney may very well be one of the first people you see when you enter our clinic as she works primarily in the reception area as one of our receptionists.
