I moved to California from Japan at the age of six years old. When I started first grade, I did not speak English, but my parents taught me to work hard and be persistent. From my childhood, I always had the desire to become a doctor. I wanted to help people get well. The question was, what kind of doctor? After my wife injured her back, I decided to become a chiropractor. I saw first hand how much good chiropractic can do. While I was attending chiropractic college, a friend told me about her mother who traveled about three hours to see her chiropractor, a NUCCA practitioner. Frankly, I had never heard of NUCCA and wasn't sure what it was. However, I was fascinated. Why would anyone travel that far, past dozens of chiropractors, to see a particular doctor? What I learned persuaded me to learn the technique myself.
Children have always given me great pleasure. In fact, I met my wife, while on a playground where I was coaching after-school sports. We are now the parents of seven children and one grandchild. I have continued working with youth throughout the years, being involved in church, Boy Scouts of America, and in Rotary, where I served as Vocational Chairman working with a local high school. I have enjoyed coaching judo and wrestling and feel it is extremely important to be a positive role model, stressing the importance of health, education and the value of good work. I enjoy treating the elderly so that they may more fully enjoy their "golden years". NUCCA is a way to gently care for their needs. [ Top of Page ]
