Mission Statement of
Ventura Blvd on the Web
founded March 20, 1996.
The primary purpose of Ventura Boulevard on the Web is to continuously develop an online community populated by businesses actually located on Ventura Blvd (between the City of Calabasas and the community known as Universal City, CA USA) and provide these businesses with a maintenance-free, high-profile and high-traffic commercial site on the Internet's World Wide Web.
Moreover, Ventura Blvd on the Web has also equipped itself to service businesses immediately adjacent to the Ventura Blvd corridor and others in the San Fernando Valley and, generally, in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Ventura Web is not in the business of convincing anyone that a Website will be good for their business or that they should have an interest in the new Internet Market. The intention of Ventura Blvd on the Web is to attract the attention of business owners who have come to this conclusion for themselves and are seriously interested in making a Website a standard feature of their ongoing marketing plan. Ventura Web is also designed to attract the interest of Boulevard business owners who want to actively participate in the creative development of their cyber storefront.
It is the opinion of Ventura Web that the Internet is ultimately not about computers or technology; it's about people. And in addition to serving its subscriber businesses, Ventura Web will also maximize the power of the Internet for local community agencies and public charities by regularly providing them with free space on Virtual Ventura Blvd in order to enhance their exchange of information with the public.
Lastly, Ventura Blvd on the Web does not wish to be "all things to all people." by being a vast, comprehensive portal site that primarily consists of weather, stock and news reports, and other non-original content. Ventura Blvd on the Web distinguishes itself by being client driven; i.e. a Web service that focuses almost solely on cultivating its business relationships in the community, building and maintaining commercial Websites, and driving valuable Internet traffic to its subscriber businesses.
